How To Break Out Of The Information Overload And Start Making Money On The Internet!

It always happens. Here’s the cold hard truth:

It doesn’t matter if you’re getting started to making money online or an experienced marketer learning new stuff, information overload is one of the biggest stumbling blocks you’ll come across.

I’ve experienced this myself, and in surveys to my subscribers, this IS the core issue being raised by many well-meaning internet entrepreneurs.

You’ve got to realize that everyone starts from scratch, gurus or non-gurus. No one was born with a laptop, at least not me.

From my personal experience, here are 3 key factors that will help you avoid information overload…

1. Focus And Stay Focused

Stop whatever you’re doing now and listen to this…

Decide on a specific making-making model and focus on it.

First you must know what you want to do, and how to do it. Once you’ve decided, concentrate on your goals and work on achieving them.

When you’re focused this way, you’ll be committed and motivated to get results. More importantly, there’s a clear direction guiding you towards your goals, without fear of being side-tracked.

Focus on your target, excel at it, dominate it and create a miracle out of it. Don’t let anything take your concentration off. Whatever helps in driving you faster towards your target is good, whatever takes it away can be avoided.

Here’s a mantra I live by, and it may just help you:

“Resolve in your mind that you have no option for failure, that success is the ONLY outcome you desire”.

Do this and you’ll be driven beyond your imagination.

2. Create An Internet Business Plan

Here’s why some people find themselves losing focus frequently:

They don’t have a CLEAR plan drawn up for their internet business.

This is critical - if you want to succeed, treat this like a real business. Most people treat this like a hobby or something they can ‘try’ out, and when results don’t appear, they blame everything else but themselves.

If you’re serious about your business, it’ll be serious with you.

Think about what you want, and create your internet business plan to guide you along. Invest in a whiteboard and write out a step-by-step plan for your own internet business.

Then hang it somewhere you can’t miss and focus on it. This may sound simple, but it’s extremely powerful.

3. Acquire Essential Skills And Resources

You can’t bake a tasty cake if you don’t have the right flour or knowledge.

Similarly, you can’t run a profitable online business without the right skills and tools required to run it.

I’ve seen many people complain about not knowing how to do this, do that. However what they don’t realize is, this knowledge can be learned for free on the internet.

For example, if you don’t know how to register a domain name or create a website, do a search in Google and pick up the skill.

There are also many tutorials and videos you can learn from, and I’ve even packaged one called Ultimate Website Videos which you can download for free.

Remember, everyone starts from scratch and you’ve got to start from somewhere. The cool thing is, once you learn these essential skills, it becomes a knowledge you can leverage upon for life to make you money.

The basic resources required for a profitable internet business include web hosting, autoresponders, ad tracking etc. Again you should INVEST in these as you can’t run away from them.

My suggestion is to go for an ‘all-in-one’ solution that provides everything under one roof. There are many services providing such solutions and you can research them. For me I’ve been using Ultimate Marketing Center since I started out.

The above 3 factors will be critical to your internet success, but we’re not quite done yet.

ClickBank’s Automatic Currency Conversion

Ok guys, I just got this from my friend Adrian Ling and think it's important enough to let you know...

A couple of days ago, ClickBank implemented automatic currency conversion on the checkout page.

For example, if your product costs USD$47 and someone in New Zealand clicked on the purchase button, the price he sees on the checkout page is NZD $90.38 dollars.

Although USD$47 and NZD$90.38 are the “same” - it may “look” more expensive to the potential customer, i.e. or some marketers put it, it defeats the tried and tested “psychological pricing point” where numbers such as $27, $47, $67 converts best.

This was raised at the Clickbank Success Forum.

Thankfully, ClickBank has responded and you have a choice. If you’d like to disable this automatic conversion, you can contact them via ClickBank Publisher Contact Form and request that this automatic conversion feature be disabled in your account.

If you choose to disable the currency conversion, you can still offer products in different currencies by manually setting them in your ClickBank account.

In this case, you simply set up a unique product for each currency you wish to accept. For example, if you want to offer the same e-book in USD and GBP, you can set up two separate products in the “My Products” section of your account.

Product #1 - default currency = USD,Product #2 - default currency = GBP

Then provide 2 payment links on your sales page. If customers click on payment link #1, they will see the price specified in USD.

If they click a payment link for product 2, they will see the GBP price. In both cases, the consumer will not have the ability to choose a different currency for payment.

5 Killer Keywords For Your AdWords Campaign

Most of us do not have a clue about what keywords to use in our Google Adwords campaign.

Ok I'm back, sorry for the delay. I'm still in China with very limited internet access but I figured I better post this!

When I was beginning my Internet Marketing career, one of the main methods I used was article marketing (and this was years ago). It's completely FREE and it works great because I was short of cash then.

It brought tons of free traffic and these are long-term. Articles I wrote (and I didn't write many) years ago are still driving traffic TODAY. Just google my name and you'll see them.

One thing I did was taking a more proactive and aggressive approach instead of just waiting - and doing that ONE thing skyrocketed my article traffic overnight...

Ok here's the answer (and it's something you already know, nothing mysterious about it)...

List building!

Now there are many DIFFERENT types of lists you can build, not just a prospect or customer list.

The ONE thing I did to improve my article exposure was simply to build a list of CONTENT publishers or what I call my "Publisher List".

Meaning, I built a list of targeted website and/or newsletter owners who WANTED MY content so they can republish it!

So everytime I wrote a new article, I simply emailed my "Publisher List" and saw my article published on scores of websites and newsletters overnight :-)

This far exceeded the exposure my articles brought me, compared to just submitting to article directories.

This is what I meant by being more aggressive and proactive in your internet business...

GO OUT THERE AND GET RESULTS.

Sitting and waiting and hoping ain't gonna make you rich.

Taking CORRECT FOCUSED ACTION consistently is the real key to success.

The Most Overused And Underused Traffic Strategy

What's the most overused AND underused traffic strategy?

The answer: ARTICLE MARKETING.

If you've been online for any length of time, you'll know and had probably utilized articles as a source of traffic.

Are you simply submitting your articles to article directories, hoping to have them published and picked up by website owners?

There's nothing wrong with that, everyone does that.

And here lies the problem - EVERYONE is doing the same thing!

Submitting your articles is NOT article MARKETING, that's article submission.

Marketing comprises of a lot more techniques, and it's the same for article marketing.

And as with all things marketing, the more PROACTIVE you are, the more results you get.

The above two statements should give you some food for thought.

For example, I always suggest you RECYCLE your content. Turn your articles into a special report, blog posts, videos, podcasts or even affiliate tools, etc.

An article is the most basic form of content/product creation. You can spin it into many other formats of a product as discussed above.

This is what's known as LEVERAGE.
